OPERATOR ON THE INFANTRY COMBAT VEHICLE

Infantry combat vehicle has enhanced the combat power and effectiveness of this the most numerous branch of Land Forces. Besides the driver, the most important member of the crew is the operator whose main tasks is to shoot precisely and effectively from various weapons thus exploiting this combat vehicle’s significant capacities. Given the type of weapons mounted on the infantry combat vehicle we can safely say that the gunner-operator is an expert in infantry weapons in the army. In addition to deploying personal weapons and rifle, the operator will have the opportunity to shoot with an anti-armoured guided missile, which makes the training of the gunner/operator even more demanding and specific than that of gunner of other specialties, and it is conducted in four stages.

TANK GUNNER

The prerequisite for becoming a tank gunner is being healthy, that is, being psychophysically ready for the exertions awaiting them while performing tasks. Sharp eye, steady hand, patience, confidence-these are all characteristics the gunner must possess. After serving their regular period of compulsory duty and after these abilities have been noted and demonstrated, the future gunner as a proven lover of uniform and tank armaments is determined to work as a soldier under contract in a tank unit will have the opportunity to prove themselves in various shooting grounds. At first he will prove himself in operating and shooting from infantry weapons, especially personal arms, which is soon after followed by beginning training in shooting from armoured units’ weapons.

PARACHUTE RIGGER

The responsibility of parachute rigger/flight rescue equipment technician by far supercedes the complexity of the job itself. A parachute rigger is a person who is trained and licenced (civilian) to pack, maintain or repair parachutes. A rigger is required to understand fabrics, hardware, webbing, regulations, sewing, packing, and other aspects related to the building, packing, repair, and maintenance of personnel parachutes.

PARATROOPERS

One of those professions, which make the military profession more appealing, is certainly the profession of a paratrooper. To be a paratrooper, to float in the blue skies, and enjoy the rush of adrenalin is what most boys dream about. Determined to cruise in the skies, even though they were not bestowed with the gift of wings, people invented parachutes thus making this, in the opinion of many, the most beautiful and an ever-lasting dream of man, come true.

RECONNAISSANCE OFFICER
Special military units have always been the most appealing profession for young men used to an adrenalin rush. Those who are ready for challenges, risks, every day check-ups and teamwork will find all this in SAF Special Brigade.  Soon enough, after finishing several selective courses, they might get the part they have always dreamed about. Of course, not everyone passes very demanding tests. But those who do, can eventually opt between many special and army-specific professions. One of these is the profession of reconnaissance-commando.

DIVERS
They are called frogmen. In military terms, the frogmen differ from their colleagues, the divers, in that they overcome obstacles hidden from sight, under the water. They do not find it hard, carrying equipment weighing dozens of kilos of equipment, to dive into the greatest depths, sneak up to the objects in water, or just below the surface and do what is expected of them-plant explosives, neutralize an obstacle, a target, and prevail over the enemy. By training hard and frequently they become highly trained to remain underwater an increasingly longer period of time, thus starting to see water as their natural surroundings. Underwater work exerts a lot of effort, requires frequent trainings, and tests to get used to the lack of oxygen and air tanks in order to master life under water.
